Реферат: eng: A multiscale methodology is used in modeling the progressive damage of polymer composite structures. A combination of the finite element method (FEM), the structure imitation approach, and statistical modeling is used to reduce the problem dimensionality without sacrificing accuracy. The presented model allows taking into account the main micro-mechanisms governing the fracture of fibrous composites and their interaction simultaneously in one loading step. The level of material damage is determined directly from the solution at the microlevel, the effective mechanical characteristics of the corresponding volume at the macrolevel being determined by averaging the stress (strain) tensor components. © 2018 Author(s).
