Реферат: | eng: The article examines the way in which innovation diffuses in social systems and the influences of the mass media and interpersonal communications on this process. We analyze models of innovation diffusion taking account of important internal and extraneous variables (for example advertising and frequency of interpersonal contact) . Our approach suggests that both mass con sciousness and ultimately mass behavior in social systems can be understood from an analysis of this tractable process of innovation diffusion. The main challenge is in suitable parameterization of the model, for example in an assessment of 'informational pressure', frequency of contact and the probability of 'forgetting' messages relating to the innovation.
