Реферат:	eng: This article is based on data obtained in the studies of soil gamasid mites (Mesostigmata) from 24 typical habitats situated along the elevational gradient 400–1860 m above sea level in the northern Altai region. It addresses the changes in the main synecological properties–taxonomic diversity, total abundance, and β-diversity index–among the elevational zones. The distribution of species with different types of habitats along the elevational gradient is analyzed taking the number of species, abundance, and share in the total number and abundance into consideration. The spatial–typologic structure of populations of gamasid mites from northern Altai are found to be heterogenous, and the effect of different ecological factors on it is estimated. © 2015, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
