Реферат: eng: We report the experimental evidence of the new optogalvanic phenomenon-light-induced current (LIC) in plasma. The current was induced by laser radiation in a positive column of hydrogen glow discharge. The ratio of LIC signal to optogalvanic signal is 1.5% in experiment. The LIC signal profile is found to follow qualitatively the derivative profile of the absorption line. The experimental results are in agreement with a prediction of the theoretical estimation. Light-induced current may have been an important mechanism in the magnetic-field generation in stellar atmospheres, in particular, in the solar atmosphere.
