Реферат: eng: The low frequency Raman spectra of a series of barium borate glasses (with 20, 25, 30 and 35 mol% BaO) were measured and analysed from room temperature to 500°C. There are two contributions to the low frequency Raman spectra: vibrations (boson peak and low lying vibrational modes) and relaxations (quasi-elastic scatering (QES)). It was found that increasing the BaO content leads to a small shift of the boson peak to higher frequency. An increase in the temperature does not lead to significant changes in the shape of the low frequency envelope or to a change of the boson peak frequency. Nevertheless, an increase in the temperature leads to a growth in the intensity of the low frequency minimum below the boson peak (ω<ωBP). This indicates an increase of the QES contribution to the low frequency spectra. The increase in the QES contribution depends on the glass composition, and increases with increasing BaO content.
