Реферат: eng: Over the past decades of satellite observations a large amount of wildfire data has been accumulated. In this study we apply several data analysis techniques to this data in order to gain new insights into the underlying natural and anthropogenic processes. Analyzing the correlation of spatial distribution of wildfire occurrences with land cover characteristics and meteorological conditions highlights existing connections between them. Cluster analysis allows us to categorize individual instances of wildfires. In order to carry out these analysis tasks we employ the remote sensing data infrastructure based on an active file archive of satellite data products. The specifics of this infrastructure will be presented in a separate talk. In this talk we present algorithms and practical considerations for their application to large amounts of data, and show the preliminary results, and outline future directions of research.
