Реферат: eng: Vapor nucleation in an ensemble of Lennard-Jones particles is studied by the molecular dynamics method. Criteria of cluster analysis are surveyed. The most frequently used criteria are compared. A new criterion for defining clusters in a model system which combines geometrical and kinetic approaches is suggested. The criterion enables the processes of particle evaporation and attachment to a cluster to be correctly described. Coupled motion of particles in the interaction potential well is analyzed to select parameters of the criterion. The size distribution of clusters and the evaporation and attachment rates are shown to depend on the choice of a criterion defining cluster, while the nucleation rate and quasi-equilibrium cluster concentrations to be invariant with respect to the cluster criterion.
